About This Project

A sense of tranquitly and calm is evoked by this resort style landscape.

Every living zone inside the home has a water view, a visual link that provides integration between the outdoors space and the areas within. Adjacent to the dining room is an outdoor area on a timber platform, which offers a slice of serenity for meditation by the reflection pond. Here water flows down over the spillway into the pond below. With their alternating levels and layers, the swimming pool and reflection ponds add drama and show the importance of the use of materials. Using a neutral palette of creams, greys and whites allows the natural textures of the timbers and travertine’s to shine through.
